Brand: Daniel Boone Whiskey a Blend Pint – Post-1933
Size: 1 Pint
Date: Post-1933
Age Statement: None
Proof: 90
Distilled and Bottled by: Colonial Distilling & Distributing Corp., NY, NY
Notes: This is a fascinating bottle for a few reasons. First, it was released post-prohibition and was distilled and distributed within New York. The New York ABC store tax stamp is still somewhat intact, which I have never seen before or since. Next, there are two dates stamped on the labels. The first I want to mention is on the back label: Dec 8, 1933. This was 3 days after prohibition ended. On the front label, we have a date stamp of March 6, 1936. Why these are on there is anybody’s guess. Add to that a California tax stamp and the mystery deepens. If you know more about this bottle and brand than I do please contact me.
